Creates and exhibits, mostly painting, and occasionally, installations and sculpture, in Israel, Europe and the USA. His work is in various collections (private and public) in Israel and around the world. Vanounou has published columns of satire and political cartoons in publications such as Globes, HaOlam HaZeh, Monitin, Davar, Maariv, and Haaretz.
Vanounou 'I'm kind of a filter that compresses everything in and what comes out in the works is an X-ray prospect of the life I experience. When I did satire in the press it was more noticeable because there is not always a perspective that exists in art. It is a statement of the here and now. "
